Launch Out Into the Deep

As I sat down to write, the Lord interrupted my thoughts and began speaking to my heart. His voice was clear and unmistakable.
Let me ask you a question:
Has there ever been something in your life that gripped you with fear?
Perhaps it seemed too big to handle.
Too overwhelming to understand.
Too good to be true.
Maybe you've even wondered, "Did God really intend this for me?"
Many of us struggle with believing that God would actually bless us with the very things He has promised. Deep down, we disqualify ourselves. We look at our past mistakes, our failures, our shortcomings, and conclude that surely God must have meant those promises for someone else.
How sad it is when we doubt the very plans God has for our lives.
The Lord gives us visions of our future. He places dreams in our hearts. He whispers promises over our lives. Yet many times we reject them because we don't believe we qualify to receive them.
But God never asked you to qualify yourself.
He already qualified you through His grace.
The Bible says:
"Be still, and know that I am God."
Has He not spoken it?
Will He not do it?
Has He not promised it?
Will it not come to pass?
"God is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent."
If God said it, you can trust Him to bring it to pass.
Too often we talk ourselves out of our blessings. We convince ourselves that we don't deserve what God has prepared. But the truth is that God planned your purpose before the foundation of the world. He knew you before you were formed in your mother's womb. He already mapped out His plans for your life.
The only thing He is asking you to do is believe Him.
Say it out loud:
"I believe God."
Don't let your past determine the outcome of your future.
Don't let yesterday's mistakes cancel tomorrow's opportunities.
Don't let failures rob you of God's promises.
Don't let old conversations erase what God has spoken over your life.
The Bible tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. What are you speaking over your future?
The enemy would love nothing more than to steal your confidence, your hope, and your expectation. But don't allow fear to rob you of what belongs to you.
God has something extraordinary prepared for your life.
In fact, some of the very things you've been praying for may be standing right in front of you.
Open your eyes and see.
God loves you.
He wants to bless you.
He wants to increase you.
He wants to use you.
Stop clenching your fists in fear and uncertainty.
Open your hands and receive.
Yes, it's big.
Yes, it's intimidating.
Yes, it will stretch you.
Yes, it will challenge you.
But it is worth it.
Receive what God has for you.
It belongs to you.
Not because you earned it, but because He lovingly prepared it for you.
Just when I thought I had finished writing this article, the Lord continued speaking to me while I was in the shower.
He reminded me of His Word:
"For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7
Then I heard these words in my spirit:
"Launch out into the deep."
Do not be afraid.
I am with you.
I have never forsaken you.
I have been with you until this very hour, and I will continue to be with you.
Step forward.
Trust Me.
Believe Me.
Launch into the deep until I tell you to pivot.
Fear is not your portion.
Faith is.
And everything I have promised you is still waiting on the other side of your obedience.
